Romance tourism has gained importance in the state of Querétaro, since it generates a significant economic spill and for 2024 it is estimated that it will be up to 700 million pesos, that is, an annual growth of between 10 and 15%.

The Secretary of Tourism, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado pointed out that every month, about 100 weddings are held in the state, each with 200 guests on average; which encourages consumption in the service sector, since 82.4% are guests from other entities.

The spouses prefer the entity for their marriage bond in the wine region, as well as the destinations that are Magical Town, the haciendas and the mansions.

Mexico absorbs 23% of the global romance market, because every year 600,000 weddings are held in the country, so they seek to bet on foreign tourism of this segment.

For the above, tourism representatives of five municipalities -Querétaro, Corregidora, Amealco de Bonfil, San Juan del Río and Tequisquiapan-, belonging to the Ministry of Tourism of the state signed with the Chamber of Commerce of Querétaro a collaboration agreement to promote this tourist aspect.
