DCD Latam Awards awards Querétaro as the best site for data centers

During the closing of the Data Centers Dynamics congress, the DCD Latam Awards were held, an award considered the most important recognition in the sector, and in which Querétaro won in the Best location category and Government Support, that is, for having the best location to install a data center and being the government that provides the most support for their installation, it was reported in a press release.

In his speech, the Secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, thanked the governor, Mauricio Kuri, for the recognition and highlighted the trust of all the businessmen who have invested in the state.

Del Prete pointed out that the data center industry adds content to the Querétaro economy and contributes to the digitalization of MSMEs, which is why public policies have been promoted to make regions more productive and with a greater participation of data centers.

He also commented that the state government is implementing actions to ensure energy supply, prepared talent, infrastructure and connectivity. He added that the recognition was obtained within the framework of the efforts of businessmen, academics and personnel who work in data centers.

Meanwhile, the general director of DCD for Latin America and Spain, José Luis Friebel, indicated that the state of Querétaro is recognized by decision makers as a star place to host data centers, since it has a privileged location, fiber optic connectivity, good weather and absence of natural phenomena, factors to which is added the impulse of the state government, understanding the particular needs of the industry, promoting dialogue between the actors involved and offering incentives for the installation of data centers.
