5 people die in Querétaro due to COVID-19

Five people died in Querétaro due to COVID-19 in the last seven days (from September 18 to 25), as announced by the state Health Secretariat, after a data update on the (SISVER) Epidemiology of Respiratory Diseases Surveillance platform System.

The state agency indicated that two men, aged 88 and 91, without comorbidities, and three men, aged 34, 43 and 75, with other comorbidities, who were hospitalized, lost their lives due to the disease.

Likewise, 327 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the entity in the aforementioned period, these are 193 women and 134 men. Therefore, the accumulated record amounted to 195,526 infections and seven thousand 16 deaths.

The statement from the Ministry of Health added that 351 patients were discharged, bringing a record of 188,452 discharges (96.38%). At the moment, with mild symptoms, isolation and management at home, there are 57 patients and one hospitalized patient, who is not in serious condition.

Given these results, the agency urges the population not to self-medicate and, to prevent transmission, wash their hands frequently with soap and water or use 70% alcohol solutions.
