Querétaro approves 2026 Internal Control Plan against corruption

The Querétaro City Council approved the Internal Control Body’s Annual Work Plan for fiscal year 2026, a tool that will strengthen the prevention, detection, and sanctioning of administrative misconduct and acts of corruption, as well as the auditing of municipal public resources, the Council reported during an ordinary session.

With this approval, the legal framework for internal controls is consolidated to prevent, correct, and investigate acts or omissions that result in administrative liability, and more efficient auditing of human, material, and financial resources managed by the municipal authority is established, the local government explained.

Additionally, the City Council authorized the fulfillment of 10 percent of the donation area corresponding to urban properties with cadastral codes 14 01 001 34 152 021 in the Villa Cayetano Rubio Delegation, 14 01 001 01 030 002 in the Historic Center Delegation, and 14 01 001 23 354 004 in the Santa Rosa Jáuregui Delegation.

These donations are part of the urban development commitments established by real estate developers with the municipality.

The council members also approved land use designations for properties identified by cadastral codes 14 01 001 19 061 016 in the Josefa Vergara y Hernández Delegation and 14 01 001 16 032 060 in Villa Cayetano Rubio, in addition to modifications to zoning regulations.

Finally, the council recognized María del Carmen Hernández Herrera and María Matilde Hernández Torres as beneficiaries of survivor’s pensions, following the deaths of municipal employees Isaac Cadena Luna and Juan Dorantes Mendoza, respectively.
