For 98 years, the Parade has taken to the streets to bring joy to Queretaro families. For this edition, the Patronato de las Fiestas de Navidad (Christmas Festival Board) led by Gloria García Alcocer presented: 500 years of Culture and Tradition.
10 groups paraded along the route, covering the most important passages in Queretaro history.
The Traditional Christmas Parade is held at the Historic Center
This tradition has existed for almost a century in the capital
Families enjoyed such a special tribute to Queretaro history on Christmas Eve, and then went to the popular festival near the Zenea Garden to enjoy typical dishes accompanied by hot drinks to mitigate the cold and continue enjoying the lights and decorations.
On the 24th, the lullaby of the Child Jesus took place in the Zenea Garden, and then 198 years of history held by the Bible Cars went by, where they showed the passages from the Bible remembering the great event of the arrival of the Father’s son .
Family unity was present in the streets and as Queretaro tradition dictates, many attended the Christmas Eve Mass at the Temple of San Francisco to later go to their homes to share the Christmas dinner or arrive at the last inn.
This is the centuries-old magic that Querétaro keeps, its tradition, culture and history have been passed down from generation to generation carrying a message of family unity and the hope that with the birth of Jesus many blessings will be poured out in the home and the lives of people.
