Google Cloud began the opening of its new cloud region in the state of Querétaro on Wednesday, reported its general director Julio Velázquez.

He announced that this opening reinforces the strategy of this technology company to expand its infrastructure and services in Latin America, and also begins the integration of tools optimized for artificial intelligence (AI).

He highlighted during the presentation that Mexico has outstanding talent in technology, and that the establishment of a technological center to support clients in the region and the opening of an office in Monterrey, approximately a year and a half ago, will allow for better consolidation.

“At Google Cloud we are convinced that this new region in Querétaro will be a driving force of transformation for Mexico. We not only provide cutting-edge infrastructure, but we also drive the country’s economic growth,” he said.

He reported that Google has invested in the training of local talent and has made alliances with more than 150 universities to promote technological skills, with special emphasis on the development of infrastructure and cloud solutions.
