This Saturday morning was very special for the Queretaro families who met early at the Querétaro Congress Center facilities to participate in this activity within the Querétaro Marathon 2024, which was a small taste of what the activities will be this Sunday in the city center.
Parents, grandparents and even some pets arrived early at the Querétaro Congress Center, some to pick up their kit and prepare for their participation in this edition of the activities, while many others wanted to arrive with time to warm up and prepare in a good way for the activities of this day, many receiving advice from their parents, who are even preparing for what will be their participation this Sunday in one of the distances of the Querétaro Marathon.

After the warm-up, in which both parents and the little ones participated, who were the most enthusiastic on this occasion, some as it was their first participation, while others were going for their third race, so they were a little less nervous than those who would do it for the first time.
The 4 – 5 year olds ran 80 meters, followed by the 6 and 7 year olds who ran 160 meters, the 8 and 9 year olds ran 200 meters, while the 10 and 11 year olds ran the distance of 300 meters, while the 12, 13 and 14 year olds had the challenge of 600 meters, that is, two laps of the circuit that had been drawn on this occasion, for the 15, 16 and 17 year olds, there was a distance of 800 meters.
The youngest ones ran accompanied by one of their parents, and even though it was the shortest distance, they were the ones who were most encouraged by those present, to continue motivating them to continue participating in this type of activities and practicing the sport, especially as a family, so it was a special moment to receive their participation medals.
After their participation in the children’s and youth races, many took a walk around the Expo Querétaro Marathon, to see the different stands that were set up selling products and services focused on Athletics, while others picked up their running kit, so it was a very intense morning.
This Sunday, the fourteenth edition of the Querétaro Marathon will be held, remembering that the start will be at 6:00 a.m., so the streets surrounding the Alameda Hidalgo will begin to fill with runners from early hours, for what promises to be a great sporting event as in previous years, with the participation of 18,500 athletes.
