Querétaro Marathon 2024, by participating in the second cross-country race organized by the Institute of Sports and Recreation in the State of Querétaro (INDEREQ), together with the organizers of the greatest sporting event, so there was a great atmosphere on this occasion in the municipality of Amealco de Bonfil.
On this occasion, the community of “El Aserrín” received the 1,200 athletes from different municipalities of the state, to participate in this event that consisted of a seven-kilometer cross-country race, so the runners met early in the morning with a great atmosphere, many very excited about the route that was had and the landscapes that they could appreciate on this occasion.
The INDEREQ authorities, represented by Judy Hütt, director of Physical Education at the institute, were in charge of giving the starting shot, but not before wishing the greatest success to all the participants in this sporting event, in which at the end they also gave the trophies to the first three places in both the men’s and women’s categories, remembering that it was a free race and in which the main objective was to promote sport and help them improve their times in view of the most important sporting event of our entity, which will take place on October 6.
The winners in the women’s category were Verónica de Jesús Cruz, who came in first place, while second place went to Yelena Yamile Becerra Puga and third place went to Juana López Martínez, who were proud and happy to receive their trophy, while in the men’s category, first place went to César González from Amealco, followed by Alfredo Encarnación and third place went to Carlos Anselmo.
This was the second and last cross-country race organized as preparation for the Querétaro Marathon, the first was in “Flor de Alfalfa” in the municipality of Colón, highlighting that in both competitions, there was the participation of 1,200 runners, who registered in time and immediately sold out the places for these events, thus demonstrating their desire to be part of the preparation for the Querétaro Marathon, in which they will undoubtedly try to get on the podium again in the different distances and categories.
