Mauricio Kuri announces the Querétaro Marathon 2023

Authorities met to publicize the details of the Querétaro Marathon, which will be held on October 1

The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, led the presentation of the 2023 edition of the Querétaro Marathon, at the Government Palace facilities. The authorities announced that this year the administration will invest one million pesos for this sporting event and it is expected that at least 18 thousand people will participate, three thousand more than last year.

The tour will take place this coming October 1 at distances of 42, 21, 10 and 5 kilometers, through the main streets of the city, including the emblematic passage on one side of Los Arcos.

The head of the Queretaro Sports and Recreation Institute (INDEREQ) Iridia Salazar Blanco, announced that registration will begin in May with a cost ranging from 450 to 650 pesos, depending on the distance.

She also emphasized that the Querétaro Marathon is a qualifier for one of the main marathons worldwide, which takes place in the city of Boston, in the United States.

“Registrations begin in May so please don’t miss out, we will also develop the Expo marathon on September 29 and 30 at the Congress Center, to promote physical activity we will continue with the distance of 5, 10, 21 and 42 km”, she expressed.

“We want more people to go running in the beautiful streets of Querétaro. Registration costs is $650 pesos for a marathon, $550 for a half marathon, and $450 for 5 and 10 km,” the official explained.

Finally, the state governor, Mauricio Kuri, congratulated the participants for daring to challenge themselves and announced that this year the image of the official jacket and the shirt that the runners will wear will be renewed.
