The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, informed that the SICT authorized the release of the booths of the Northwest Bypass.

Queretaro, Qro. The governor of the state of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, announced that the federal government’s Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) authorized the release of the booths of the Northwest Bypass of the entity so that transit is temporarily free.

He explained that the purpose of the measure is to divert traffic to that highway and that they no longer travel through arterial roads in the city center, such as Avenida 5 de Febrero, where various lane expansion works are carried out, which generates traffic jams daily.

He assured that the paperwork process is already in place for these booths to be released.

He explained that the free service will be from 6 in the morning to 10:00 p.m. for a period of 6 months.

“They have already approved the release of the booths, we are in the process of bureaucratic issues, but he has already gone through the two councils that he had to go through and the passage of the two northwestern booths will be released from 6 in the morning to 10 at the night,” he said.

However, it is not yet known from what day the two booths will stop charging, but the governor assured that it will be soon.
