QUERÉTARO, Qro. — Emergency services and law enforcement personnel mobilized on Friday, July 24th after a woman was found dead inside a hotel room in the Historic Center of Querétaro.

The discovery took place in an establishment located along Juárez Street, between Universidad Avenue and Morelos Street. According to preliminary reports, hotel staff entered the room after the guest failed to check out at the scheduled time and did not respond to repeated knocks at the door. Upon entering, employees discovered the woman unconscious and unresponsive on the bed.

Staff members immediately alerted emergency services via the 911 hotline. Paramedics from the Center for Emergency Medical Responses (CRUM) and officers from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat of Querétaro (SSPMQ) arrived shortly thereafter. Medical personnel conducted a physical assessment and confirmed that the woman no longer possessed vital signs.

Municipal police officers cordoned off the premises and established a security perimeter to preserve the scene. The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Querétaro (FGE) was notified to initiate the corresponding legal procedures.

Perimeter Security Unit personnel and forensic experts arrived at the hotel to gather physical evidence, document the room, and perform preliminary investigative tasks. Following the field investigation, forensic personnel transferred the body to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) facilities to undergo a formal autopsy, which will determine the exact cause of death and confirm the victim’s identity.

State prosecutors have opened an investigation file into the event. Authorities stated that all standard investigative protocols, including gender-perspective guidelines, are being applied while experts analyze physical evidence to determine whether foul play was involved or if the death resulted from natural causes.
