According to the findings, families across multiple municipalities struggle with consistent access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food required to maintain healthy and active lives.
The report highlights that rising living costs, inflationary pressures on basic food items, and income inequality are primary drivers worsening the vulnerability of working-class families. Experts and social organizations warn that food insecurity extends beyond immediate hunger, deeply affecting children’s nutritional development, educational performance, and long-term community health. Local civil associations are urging state and municipal authorities to implement targeted food assistance programs, strengthen local supply chains, and establish robust social support networks to protect the most vulnerable populations across Queretaro.
