Rainfall recorded on the afternoon of Thursday, June 4, in the municipality of Querétaro generated 15 calls for assistance via the 911 emergency line, the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination reported.
The rain began around 5:20 p.m., mobilizing operational teams across various areas of the capital.
According to the report updated at 8:15 p.m., the Epigmenio González Borough accounted for the highest number of incidents with 12 reports, followed by Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Félix Osores Sotomayor, and Josefa Vergara y Hernández, with one case each.
Recorded incidents included six cases of home flooding, five instances of damage to basic services or critical infrastructure, two cases of street flooding, one rescue operation, and a fallen tree.
One of the most significant incidents occurred in the Rubén Jaramillo neighborhood (Félix Osores Borough), where a tree approximately six meters tall fell onto a public street. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to remove the tree and prevent risks to the public.
The municipal agency reported that emergency response teams are continuing to address issues arising from the rainfall. It also confirmed that there were no reports of the Peñuelas drainage channel overflowing and that stormwater runoff in the area caused no damage to homes nor posed a risk to residents.
