So far this year, 24 cargo truck robberies have been reported in the state of Querétaro, according to the National Guard, which also highlighted that in eight out of ten cases, the stolen goods are recovered.
General Ricardo Meléndrez explained that these results are possible thanks to the coordination between security agencies and the use of technological tools for locating the vehicles.
Among the main strategies is the geolocation of truck cabs, which allows for faster location of stolen vehicles and a timely response.
Searches are also being carried out on properties where the stolen goods are allegedly being stored, facilitating their recovery.
The commander emphasized that collaboration between different security agencies has strengthened the response capacity to these types of crimes on the state’s highways, contributing to improved security conditions for cargo transport.
