The state’s Secretary of Tourism, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, announced that Querétaro will host the first edition of the “Find Your Center” City Festival in October. The goal of the festival is to revive the Historic Center with a wide range of cultural, artistic, and culinary offerings.

Vega Vázquez Mellado explained that the festival will begin on October 1 and run throughout the month, with daily activities in the streets and along the walkways.

“We’re going to fill all the streets of the Historic Center and the walkways with life. There will be special offers and coupons for restaurants and bars. We’ll offer yoga, book groups, and meet-ups,” she noted.

The official emphasized that the program includes spaces for all ages, including reading and painting workshops for seniors, as well as recreational activities for children.

“It’s a very interesting movement. And the importance of our Historic Center, with all this historical and cultural content, and of renewing ourselves, innovating, and bringing it back to life,” she emphasized.

The festival, she said, is being held in collaboration with restaurateurs, local businesses, the Querétaro municipality, and the departments of culture.

“It’s an incredible movement, and we can’t wait for it,” she expressed.

According to the secretary, this will be the first time that a month-long event of this kind is organized, designed to strengthen community life and generate economic benefits in the city’s heritage zone.

Finally, Vega Vázquez Mellado emphasized that the “Find Your Center” City Festival arose in response to the need to renew and reactivate Querétaro’s Historic Center in every way.

“This project was born because of the need to reactivate the Historic Center and give it life, to bring it to life, to recover our Historic Center in every way,” she concluded.
