The State Civil Protection Coordinator, Javier Amaya Torres, reported that patrols have already been conducted on the hills where the Stations of the Cross will be held this Friday in Querétaro.
This is to verify that no swarms of bees are present and pose a risk to attendees. He stated that it has been verified that no risk is posed to attendees during these celebrations.
He recalled that a few years ago, a swarm of bees was reported in the municipality of El Marqués, and the Stations of the Cross had to be canceled. Javier Amaya Torres explained that sometimes the swarms can reach the hills up to the day before these events.
