The hotel sector in Querétaro projects an increase in demand for services for this holiday season, with an occupancy rate that will range between 65 and 75 percent. This growth is part of a general trend that is also reflected in local commerce, where an economic impact of 2,715 million pesos is estimated, according to the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Lorena Muñoz Altamira.
This amount represents an increase of 8.6% compared to sales for the same season in 2023. The most in-demand products are clothing, footwear, toys and electronic items, in addition to an increase in restaurant and hotel services.
The president also highlighted the good results obtained during the Buen Fin, which generated an economic impact 12% higher than estimated, which has contributed to a good year for commerce in Querétaro. At the national level, although growth has been moderate, the state has exceeded expectations in both sales and economic growth.
