In the community of La Plazuela, in Peñamiller, Querétaro, two people died and one more was injured, due to an incident reported in the mine of the district.
According to the report of the State Coordination of Civil Protection of Querétaro, the incident involved three people who entered a disused mine. The people had fallen inside.
Meanwhile, the person injured with blows was transferred to the Cadereyta de Montes Hospital. According to the information, the incident is not related to a collapse in the mine, but only to the fall of the people inside the place,” they said.
On the other hand, the Attorney General of the State of Querétaro will have to carry out the corresponding proceedings, as well as determine if other interventions are necessary for the rescue of the bodies. As a preventive measure, local authorities have proceeded to close the place to avoid any other risk and the relevant investigations are being carried out,” he added.
