Querétaro reports the third highest expansion in the Bajío, only surpassed by SLP and Aguascalientes
As of September 2023, the state of Querétaro had a growth of 5.7% compared to the same month but in 2022, according to the monthly indicator of industrial activity by state.
The secondary activity placed the entity in the third place in the Bajío with the highest annual growth, since in first place was San Luis Potosí with 20.4%, Aguascalientes with 14.2% and in third place Querétaro.
While Michoacán obtained a growth of 1.2% and Guanajuato had an annual growth of 0.1%.
And at the national level, the states that had the most annual increase in this activity were Quintana Roo, Colima, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes and Sonora.
Regarding the monthly growth, Querétaro had a growth of 1.3% in September compared to what was reported in the month of August 2023. And at the national level, the states that grew the most were Quintana Roo, Colima, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes and Sonora.
The entity also highlighted the third national place of growth in mining with 20%, only below Tamaulipas that had 112.7% and Quintana Roo with 24%.
And in the construction sector, it obtained the fourth place with a growth of 50.7%, below Quintana Roo that had 168.3%, Campeche with 113.1% and Durango with 63.9%.
While in the distribution and commercialization of electric power, water supply and natural gas by pipelines, it had a growth of 4.8% in the annual comparison with September 2022.
Regarding the manufacturing industry, the entity had a decrease in its activity with -1.9% in the annual variation.
“This provides short-term statistical information at the state level and allows following the behavior of the secondary activities in the states”, indicates the INEGI.
