Traffic on the Arco Norte highway was reopened in both directions

The overturning of a double trailer truck on the Arco Norte highway, near the Mexico-Querétaro interchange, has caused hundreds of drivers to remain stranded for more than 14 hours.

Although Federal Roads and Bridges (CAPUFE) today reported the restoration of traffic on the Arco Norte highway in both directions, shortly after, at 6:30 a.m., the agency reported a line of cars that reached 40 kilometers, starting at kilometer 90 towards Mexico City.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. yesterday, however, the overturning of the trailer with a double semi, apparently with chemicals, collapsed vehicular traffic in the area; More than 14 hours elapsed to remove the damaged unit as well as the debris generated by the accident.
