The local productive activity has placed the state as the 12th largest exporter in the country
At the end of the last four-month period of 2022, Querétaro managed to invoice 4,466 million dollars of sales of parts, products and components in international markets, accumulating exports for 16,997.42 million dollars last year.
Only in the October-December period, there was a 15.6% growth in its exports compared to the same period but in 2021, reported the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
Querétaro is the third state in the Bajío region with the most exports, and was the fourth with the highest growth in turnover, according to the INEGI report for the fourth quarter of 2022.
In this lowland region, the state of Guanajuato obtained 8,341 million dollars and had a growth of 20% compared to the last four-month period of 2021, and the state of San Luis Potosí had exports for 4,854 million dollars, and a growth of 43%
While other states in the region such as Aguascalientes had exports of 3 billion dollars, Michoacán with 1.623 billion dollars, Zacatecas 993 million dollars and Hidalgo 889 million dollars.
It should be noted that at the national level, Querétaro occupies the 12th place in exports.
Meanwhile, according to the Secretary of Sustainable Development of the state, Marco Antonio del Prete, in all of 2022 there was a growth of 16.6% with an annual accumulated of 16,997.42 million dollars, which represents 3.3% of the national total.
At the national level, in the last quarter they reported exports for 133,946.84 million dollars, with a cumulative of 521,010.90 million dollars by 2022.
Within the manufacturing category, exports were in the manufacture of transportation equipment, electrical appliances, power generation, machinery, computer equipment, as well as the plastic, food, chemical, and paper industries.
