“We calculate that this year, we reached an economic income of around 150 million pesos because we must take into account that many of the sales were made online and we cannot have an exact amount of that, but, in general, it was very good for us. well in the Historic Center, there were many customers, a lot of people’s activity, “he commented.

“Let’s remember that last year the tenants decided not to participate in the Good End due to the whole issue of the pandemic, so this year we did have a good spill on these dates,” he added.

Antonio Torres said that the restaurant sector, who also participated in this weekend of discounts, were the ones that mostly benefited from the arrival of customers who, to take advantage of the promotions, came to eat as a family.

In addition to restaurants, he said, clothing stores, home appliance stores, and electronics in general also benefited highly from this traditional annual sales strategy.

The leader of the Alliance for the Historic Center assured that sanitary measures were respected at all times to avoid contact between people and infections by COVID-19.

Among the measures that remained, he said, was the constant use of antibacterial gel, access only with the use of face masks, and the restriction of capacity in restaurants and other types of businesses.

SALES GO UP

Antonio Torres estimated that, during the Buen Fin, sales reached an increase of up to 80 percent, compared to the years prior to the contingency.

“The capacity restriction is still something that slows us down, but in those days we reached sales of 80 percent, compared to the years before the pandemic, and that is very good because, at other times of the year, our sales were between the 50 percent or 60 percent ”, he pointed out.
