Gallos Blancos will have a pet-friendly zone that will be enabled the following Tuesday in the game against Rayados
Gallos Blancos de Querétaro will make history as the first soccer team to have an area in its stadium exclusively for pets, and the Queretaro board of directors, in conjunction with Mars Pet Nutrition Mexico, will set up an area so that fans can attend each game locally with their dogs.
“What we did here is that we modified a part of the stalls and put specific spaces for dogs. It is an area that will be open to all games, ”Francisco Ríos, director of corporate affairs at Mars Pet Nutrition Mexico, told ESPN Digital exclusively.
“We call them boxes, they are the “Corraletas” where it is a safe space for your pet to enjoy. It is acclimatized and the sound we lower the decibels. They have a special entrance, a rest area, and qualified personnel ”, he added.
Ríos even shared that there will be 16 spaces that can accommodate up to four people and two medium-sized pets, while he narrated how they chose the area of the Corregidora Stadium so that they could carry out this project.
“We made tours, many ideas of which was the best area, we wanted them to be close to the truncheon, but our veterinary experts told us that we would have to control the sound and the directive offered us the part of the stalls that already had a good infrastructure ”, Detailed the manager.
In this way, Querétaro will be the first soccer team in the world to permanently implement this area in its stadium and, on that, Ríos highlighted how happy they are and thanked the board for joining this cause.
“Driving the Roosters is something that makes us very proud. They are great allies and thanks to the government of the stadium, civil protection, to the board of directors with Gabriel (Solares). The players, the Gallos Blancos themselves, and the Gallitas (cheerleaders) are very involved, they promote an adoption platform (the logo is on their uniforms), they have come to the shelters and they are great ambassadors. They have supported us a lot in this cause ”, Francisco Ríos concluded.
