Need a negative PCR test in order to travel? LAX airport has got your back with a new and super-fast on-site testing facility that delivers results within 3-5 hours.

Many destinations are requiring negative PCR test results for entry, leaving travelers scrambling to find a clinic that offers test results in time for their flight. LAX is now offering a rapid-PCR test with results as speedy as 3 hours, making fulfilling entry requirements a breeze.

Since LAX is one of the busiest international airports in the U.S., many travelers who are not already departing from this hub are re-routing their layovers to LAX in order to get the test results they desperately need.   Explore Cancun and The Mexican Riviera This WinterPlay Video

Many nations, especially in the Caribbean, Central and South America are still allowing American tourists to visit but are requiring they bring proof of a negative PCR test in order to do so.

The testing site at LAX offers the type of PCR test that is widely accepted for entry by these countries. (Below we have a list of countries you can use these tests to enter!)

If you cannot get an appointment for LAX’s rapid PCR test lab at Terminal 6, there are 2 other options at the airport, but they have a slightly longer turn-around time of 24 hours instead of 3-5 hours.

2 more PCR testing labs can be found at:

  • Terminal 2 at the Lower/Arrivals Level 1, baggage claim area.
  • Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Upper/Departures level 3 at the check-in counters located in Aisle C (C01-C05), along the north side of the terminal.

Both of these options will give results within 24 hours and are on a walk-in basis instead of appointment based. The hours of operation for both are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and the cost is the same at $125.

The negative results you obtain from either of these 3 testing sites will fulfill your testing entry requirements for visiting many countries.

Here are some examples of destinations that are accepting international tourists, with the turnaround time they need the PCR test results done in.

(You’ll notice that LAX’s time frame is well within the limits these countries require!)

Despite case levels being at an all-time high, many American airports are now offering fast test results for those that do want or need to travel. JFK is now offering a 2-3 hour turnaround time for their pre-departure PCR tests out of Terminal 1.

While not as quick as JFK or LAX, test results within 48 hours can be obtained at Fort Lauderdale, Chicago O’Hare, and Dallas Fort Worth.
