The Government of Oaxaca announced the official arrival of the Volaris flight connecting Querétaro and Oaxaca—a route that launched on June 1st and aims to strengthen the state’s air connectivity.
The State Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur Oaxaca) highlighted that this new connection is part of a strategy to expand flight options to the state and boost tourism and economic activity.
According to the agency, the Querétaro-Oaxaca route will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays—thereby increasing travel options for both visitors and residents.
A total of 124 flights are scheduled between June and December of this year, adding 23,064 new seats for this route.
Sectur Oaxaca noted that this route joins the recently launched Tijuana-Puerto Escondido and Puebla-Huatulco flights; together, they add over 63,000 new seats to bolster the state’s air connectivity.
The state government reiterated that expanding routes aims to facilitate the arrival of domestic tourists, strengthen regional development, and solidify Oaxaca’s position as one of the country’s premier tourist destinations.
