Imagine sitting at a table that seems to levitate more than 40 meters in the air. Up there, you savor a gourmet meal paired with Mexican wines while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of a vast vineyard that was named “Best Winery in Mexico 2025” by the Mexican Sommelier Association.
This experience—called Dinner in the Sky—is coming soon to Querétaro, and Destinos will tell you all about it, the dates, and the prices.
Which Querétaro vineyard will host this high-altitude dining experience?
Dinner in the Sky will be available for a limited time at the Puerto del Lobo vineyard, one of more than 30 wine tourism projects along Querétaro’s Art, Cheese, and Wine Route.
It covers more than 150 hectares, of which approximately 30 are dedicated to grape cultivation.
The complex offers vineyard tours, meditation and hiking rituals, yoga classes, tastings, three restaurants (one with a panoramic viewpoint), and lodging in three different estates.
It is located in the municipality of El Marqués, about 45 minutes from the city of Santiago de Querétaro, an hour from the magical towns of Bernal and Tequisquiapan, and about three hours from Mexico City.
What will dining at a vineyard in Querétaro be like?
Dinner in the Sky has been offered for 12 years in various locations throughout Mexico, although 2026 will mark its first time at the Puerta del Lobo vineyard.
It is a gastronomic experience whose main attraction is that it takes place on a rectangular platform with 22 Formula 1-style seats (which rotate 360°), lifted to a height of 45 meters by a crane.
For lunch at the Puerta del Lobo vineyard, the three-course menu will be prepared by the Raíces restaurant (part of the wine tourism complex) and will consist of the following dishes:
Stracciatella salad with roasted beets, figs, and toasted pistachios.
Slow-cooked lamb tetela, black mole, and green salad with refried beans and pickled red onion, or braised short ribs in their own juices with black beans, tomatillos, bacon, and spring onions.
Piloncillo puerquito (a type of sweet bread), dulce de leche ice cream, and mesquite flour crumble.
For a full hour, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the vineyards, the semi-desert landscape, and the distant mountains, as well as a special pairing of premium drinks and Puerta del Lobo wines.
