The rain that fell on the afternoon of December 10 in Querétaro did not cause major damage, only temporary traffic complications in the northern part of the capital, reported the State Civil Protection Coordination.

The rainfall began around 4:00 p.m. and lasted until 6:00 p.m., moving from the north toward the metropolitan area, with intermittent showers throughout the afternoon and evening that caused no structural damage or serious incidents.

The main incidents were concentrated on Paseo de la República, near the Industrial Benito Juárez neighborhood and the Tremec area, where flooding and accumulations of dirt, rocks, and debris carried by the current were reported, temporarily affecting traffic, the state agency specified.

In addition, a traffic accident near Jurica increased congestion on the same road, although traffic returned to normal as the intensity of the rain decreased.

According to the official report, the water level gradually receded and runoff was adequate in the rest of the city, without significant accumulations.

A low probability of light rain is expected this Thursday in the metropolitan area and the central part of the state, while cold front number 19 will cease to affect the region by late afternoon or evening.

Regarding pilgrimages, Civil Protection confirmed that it is unaware of any departures from the state to Mexico City, nor are there any current requests. Only one departure was registered, from the Temple of the Congregation to Soriano, in Colón, scheduled for this Thursday.
