Querétaro was the state with the third highest inflation rate in the country, with an annual rate of 4.2% in July, according to an analysis conducted by México, ¿Cómo Vamos?.
Given these figures, the state remains on the orange traffic light due to the high inflation rate recorded in July.
Nationally, the states with the highest inflation rate were Quintana Roo at 4.4%, followed by Baja California at 4.2% and Querétaro at 4.2%. The states with the lowest inflation were Baja California Sur at 2.3%, Morelos at 2.4%, and Tlaxcala at 2.5%.
Nationally, overall inflation was 3.51% annually, a decrease from 4.32% in June.
The product with the highest price increase was beef, with a 17.6% annual variation and a 0.4% increase compared to June.
In contrast, the price of chicken fell by -3.6% last month, although it increased by 7.2% year-over-year.
In addition, the price of eggs increased by 9.64% year-over-year; and milk registered an annual increase of 8.3%.
Meanwhile, among energy sources, electricity increased by 6.77% year-over-year; while gasoline increased by -1.18%.
