Felipe Jesús “N,” alias “Franco 6,” a gang leader of a Gulf Cartel cell, was arrested along with Marcelino “N,” alias “El Brócoli,” during two searches conducted in a joint operation between federal and state forces in the state of Querétaro.

Franco 6 assumed control of the criminal cell after the arrest of José Francisco “N,” alias “Alfa 1,” last March. Authorities were able to locate the properties where he and “El Brócoli,” identified as a member of the criminal cell, were hiding.

After implementing fixed and mobile surveillance, members of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the National Guard (GN), in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office and the Querétaro Security Secretariat, were able to execute the two search warrants and arrest the cartel members.

The operations took place in the La Nueva Unidad neighborhood, where Felipe Jesús “N” was arrested, and in the Puerta Real neighborhood where Marcelino “N” was located. Both were arrested for organized crime.

During the operations, luxury SUVs, drug doses, and telephone equipment were seized, which were then handed over to the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office, who will also determine the legal status of the detainees.

The former leader was captured along with nine other individuals who also belonged to the criminal group linked to organized crime, kidnapping, hydrocarbon theft, drug dealing, and homicides.
