Querétaro will be present at the next edition of the Hannover Messe, the industrial fair that will take place from March 31 to April 4 in Germany.

The objective of this participation is to expand Querétaro’s presence in the European market, in addition to confirming investment announcements, explained Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu).

“Given this international influx, we Querétaro residents are determined to seek new investment opportunities, and therefore, we will attend the Hannover International Fair to expand our presence in the European market,” he noted.

The state will seek to take advantage of Mexico’s free trade agreement with the European Union, as it is a market with which Querétaro has common ground, he said.

One of the goals is to diversify the state’s commercial ties with alternative markets to the United States and Canada, in order to reduce trade dependence.

“We will explore other markets, in addition to the United States and Canada; we can’t depend on just one client,” he explained.

During the fair, investment announcements will be made official for Querétaro; he announced that these will be new investments.

Querétaro will be among the states representing Mexico at the Hannover Messe; the Mexican Association of Economic Development Secretaries (Amsde) is collaborating in the installation of the Mexican pavilion.

Representatives from companies, the National Network of Automotive Industry Clusters (Redcam), and other organizations will also be present. Governor Mauricio Kuri González is expected to attend as part of the Querétaro mission.

“We’re going with other states and taking advantage of this highly relevant international fair, we’ll be accompanied by several companies. This pavilion brings together companies and organizations; for example, the national network of automotive clusters will have a presence there. And to promote the state, we expect to be able to finalize some investment projects for Querétaro and announce them at the fair,” he explained.

During the tour, they will also visit Berlin, where they will meet with representatives of the Mexican Embassy in Germany. The diplomatic corps will present Plan Mexico to German business leaders.

Hannover Messe will bring together companies from the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, digital industries, and the energy sector, who will present solutions for the industry. It is estimated that more than 4,000 companies will be present and will be part of this industrial ecosystem.
