During 2024, four new hotels were completed for Querétaro, some of which have already opened and others are close to opening, according to information from the Querétaro Association of Hoteliers (AQH).
In this regard, the president of the AQH, Mónica Aguilar, indicated that these projects are located in Centro Sur and near the Historic Center in the state capital.
They expect 90% hotel occupancy in the Historic Center
The Querétaro Association of Hoteliers mentioned the possibility of submitting a request for the Day of the Dead to be considered an official holiday
She mentioned that in May 2024 the Hilton Hotel opened in Querétaro, which was previously the Crown Hotel, near Centro Sur, which has 139 Junior and Presidential rooms, a room with more than 500 people, among other amenities.
She specified that another opening they had is the Hampton By Hilton Juriquilla Hotel, which has 80 rooms.
In addition, another hotel they plan to open is the Hotel Avid in the Centro Sur area in Querétaro, near the Club de Industriales, of the Intercontinental Hotel Group brand.
“This is going to be a hotel with 118 rooms. (…) it is really a hotel that was focused on having coffee all day, high-speed Wi-Fi, covered parking, gym,” he said.
He explained that it is an investment of 150 million pesos, with more than 300 direct and indirect jobs.
He said that another of the openings that will take place in the state is the Hyatt Centric Querétaro that will be near the Historic Center of Querétaro. This will be one of the 50 hotels that this company has under the Hyatt Centric brand.
According to the hotel chain, this complex will be inaugurated in 2025, and will have 105 luxury rooms and suites, with a ballroom in the lobby, spaces for meetings and events, as well as a rooftop pool and gym.
“They are bringing everything from the Historic Center, it will be very close to the Historic Center, and it will greatly enhance the area with this hotel that will be there,” he said.
It should be noted that the Queretaro Hotel Association has 50 member hotels throughout the state.
