With the purpose of promoting sporting excellence, the Institute of Sport and Recreation of the State of Querétaro (Indereq) inaugurated the 2024 National Short Course Swimming Championship. Iridia Salazar Blanco, director of Indereq, highlighted the importance of this event to encourage swimmers to surpass their personal records and promote competition among the best in the country.
The Olympic pool at Parque Querétaro 2000 will host 1,700 athletes from 236 teams in children, youth and senior categories. In addition to rewarding dedication, this sporting event will serve as a platform to detect talents that can represent Mexico in international competitions.
Local authorities and organizers emphasized that Querétaro is consolidating itself as a benchmark in the organization of national sporting events, promoting the comprehensive development of young athletes and strengthening sports at the state and national levels.
