A whole party of love will be experienced in the third edition of the Alegría Querétaro Contigo Festival 2024, as announced by Óscar García Niembro, General Director of the DIF, representing Car Herrera de Kuri, President of the State DIF Board of Trustees, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, State Secretary of Tourism; Ana Paola López Birlain, State Secretary of Culture; Javier Amaya Torres, Director of Civil Protection; Gerardo de la Garza Pedraza, Coordinator of Parastatal Entities and Gloria García Alcocer, Director of the Querétaro State Festival Board of Trustees.
During these festivities, Querétaro residents and visitors will be able to be part of a shower of surprises alluding to the most beautiful time of the year: Christmas.
Querétaro, where a Mega Village will be set up in Plaza Fundadores, an ice rink on the esplanade of the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Delegation, and two parades, one in the state capital on Avenida Constituyentes and the other in the Santa Rosa Jáuregui Delegation.
San Juan del Río: Monumental Pino, ice rink, and parade.
Corregidora: parade in the town and two ice rinks, one in the Candiles neighborhood and another in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood.
El Marqués: ice rink in the Paseos del Marqués subdivision and parade in La Pradera.
Huimilpan: ice rink in the garden of lovers, and parade in the center.
Colón: parade in the center.
Peñamiller: parade in the municipal capital.
Pinal de Amoles: parade in the municipal capital.
Jalpan: ice rink in the Hidalgo square.
Among the programs, you can also experience the coronation of the Queen of Christmas 2024, Victoria II, in Plaza de Armas on December 10.
The presentation of the Herald of Christmas at the City Museum and of course the Inn Cart, the Cavalcade and the traditional Christmas carts on December 16, 23 and 24 respectively.
The lighting of the Friendship Tree will take place on December 1 as well as the Mega Nativity in the Zenea Garden with the presentation of the Querétaro State Music Band.
Querétaro will dress up for a party every day of the month of December and until January 5, 2025 with the Three Wise Men parade. Activities range from concerts, pastoral plays, bazaar exhibitions, typical seasonal cuisine, workshops for children and adults with various techniques for making Christmas crafts, among many other activities that the secretariats and intertwined dependencies have.
This year, the Alegría Festival is that light of hope that Querétaros continue to maintain after the violent events that had never occurred in the state, where its inhabitants are people of peace, values and family roots, values that are promoted by the festivity promoted by the mandate of Mauricio Kuri González.
Javier Amaya Torres, director of Civil Protection of the state mentioned that this festival will live Christmas attracting families to enjoy and fill themselves with the Christmas spirit since after so many dark episodes in the state, there are events that are careful, calm and that everything happens in order.
