The sporting event, according to details offered this Tuesday at a press conference, will have the participation of 18 thousand runners.
Also, among the participants in the competition there will be national and international athletes of high level, since the Querétaro Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
Iridia Salazar Blanco, Director of the Institute of Sport and Recreation of Querétaro, said that the Querétaro Marathon is the main sporting event in the state and will allow athletes to participate in different categories, including 42 kilometers, half marathon (21 kilometers), as well as 10 and 5 kilometer circuits.
At the event, a prize of 1 million 100 thousand pesos will be distributed among the winners.
During the presentation of the Querétaro Marathon 2024, marathon runner Germán Silva presented the book “Running through the veins of Mexico,” a work that tells what it was like for an athlete to run across Mexico, from Tijuana to Tulum.
The story speaks of overcoming, breaking patterns, overcoming limits and pursuing the impossible, said Silva.
