The Home Depot announced an investment of 633 million pesos for the opening of its new store in Querétaro, which will be located in the municipality of El Marqués.
Through a statement, the brand indicated that this investment will generate 300 direct jobs for construction and more than 100 direct jobs for the operation of the new store.
The store will be built in El Refugio, which is one of the fastest-growing areas of the municipality of El Marqués in the metropolitan area of the city of Querétaro.
It will have a strategic location, as it will be surrounded by shopping centers and easily accessible, the text emphasized.
The new store will feature the most advanced technology.
It will offer the widest catalog of home improvement products in Mexico, consisting of more than 40,000 items.
The catalog includes highly sophisticated products with cutting-edge technology to save on water and energy consumption, the brand added.
The opening of the store is scheduled for the coming months and is an integral part of the company’s growth plans in Mexico.
The Home Depot has 138 stores in the country and has set a goal of reaching 150 stores in the coming years.
Citlallitl Cabrera, Senior Director of Real Estate for the brand in Mexico, said that the new investment announcements seek to be closer to customers in Querétaro.
“With this new store, we are going to reaffirm our leadership in the home improvement product market and boost job creation and economic activity in the State,” she stated.
The investment announcement was attended by state and municipal authorities, including the Governor of the State of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González.
The event took place at the store located in the Municipality of Corregidora.
That branch opened its doors in 2021.
It recently received LEED Certification for its high standards of energy efficiency and environmental care.
This distinction is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council.
