The capital of Queretaro shows results intended by all regions of the country, in terms of job creation.

By March 2021, the municipality of Querétaro had an increase of 688.2 percent in the generation of jobs compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the report of the State Delegation of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).
The capital of Querétaro is positioned in the fifth place of generation of employment per capita during the period January to March of 2021, as well as in ninth place at the municipal level. In addition, compared to the states of the Republic, the municipality of Querétaro, occupies the fourteenth national place in job creation as of March 2021, according to data from the IMSS.
As of the third month of this year, 8,150 new jobs were created, of which 37.6 percent correspond to women and 62.4 percent to men; This amount represents 7,116 jobs more than what was generated in the same period of the previous year.
Of the total, 1,899 jobs were created in January, 4,220 jobs in February and 2,31 jobs in March.
In 2020, the entity closed with a loss of 12,738 jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The IMSS signal there was a state increase of 304.4 percent and a national increase of 309.7 percent, in the generation of jobs compared to the same period of the previous year.
The capital of Queretaro represented 52.2 percent in the generation of jobs at the state level and 3.2 percent at the national level.
In the area of insured workers at the municipal level, as of March 2021 there was an increase of 0.5 percent in relation to February.
Of the total number of insured workers (401 thousand 712 people), 39.8 percent are made up of women and 60.2 percent are men.
In the municipality of Querétaro, the average monthly salary was 1,862.30 pesos more than the national one, which represents 14.3 percent more, as well as 4.5 percent more than the state one.
“The objective is to recover the almost 650 thousand formal jobs lost in 2020 due to the pandemic. Recovery is occurring in a variable way throughout Mexico, especially because one year after the health emergency, the ravages of COVID-19 were concentrated in some states and sectors, ”explained Héctor Márquez Pitol, director of institutional relations at ManpowerGroup .
At the state level, the employers of 15 entities presented the highest trends in the generation of formal employment in Mexico.
In Sonora, the strongest hiring rate is estimated with 17 percent, followed by Baja California with 15 percent, Chihuahua (14 percent), Querétaro, Tabasco and Tamaulipas (13 percent), Durango (12 percent), Jalisco (11 percent), Colima and Sinaloa (9 percent), and Morelos (8 percent), according to the IMSS report.
