Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- On the sidelines of the start of work on the remodeling of Gabriel Leyva Avenue, the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, announced that the port will be the first tourist destination in Mexico to leave the covid-19 pandemic ‘
“Yesterday we returned from Tijuana from a very important tourism event, and the mayor of Mazatlán was given the opportunity to be in the inaugural presidium, but not only that, he was invited to give the message on behalf of all tourist destinations of the country for a reason, Mazatlán is the first tourist destination in the country to emerge from the pandemic, “announced the Chemist.
Benítez Torres highlighted that Mazatlán has been the city of sun and beach that received the largest number of visitors in the summer holidays, which positioned the port at the head of the safest destination.
“We had the highest number of visitors on summer vacations, and we endorsed that position on the long bridge that just ended,” he said.
He commented that it was the same Federal Tourism Secretary, Miguel Torruco Marqués, who publicly recognized Mazatlán and gave it the medal for the best port in Mexico in this pandemic.
“The Secretary Miguel Torruco came out to say that Mazatlán has surpassed all the tourist destinations in the country,” he said.
